Concrete Relay is the SMS interface to your Concrete workspace. Text your portfolio questions, add notes after a founder call, and schedule recurring digests, all without opening the app.
Relay messages include citations linking back to the source email, file, or meeting inside Concrete.

What You Can Do

Ask Portfolio Questions On the Go: Request the link to a company’s latest pitch deck, pull a founder’s phone number, or grab the most recent ARR and runway figures before walking into a meeting. Relay replies as a text with citations that open the underlying source in Concrete. Add Notes: Send a quick observation after a meeting or call and Relay files it against the right company. Useful for capturing thoughts while they’re fresh. Schedule Routines: Set up recurring updates that arrive on a cadence you choose. Common examples:
  • A Monday morning portfolio digest summarizing the weekend’s activity.
  • A Friday recap of any ARR, runway, or intro requests received during the week.
  • A daily heads-up on any company you’re watching closely.

Setup

Connect Relay during onboarding or anytime from SettingsMessaging.
  1. Add Your Mobile Number: Enter your phone number. Concrete provisions a dedicated Concrete number for your workspace.
  2. Verify by Texting: Send a message from your phone to the assigned Concrete number. Verification completes automatically.
  3. Save Concrete as a Contact: Download the generated vCard to assign Concrete contact info to the Relay number.
Once verified, you can start texting immediately.

Routines

Tell Relay what you want and when. Examples that work today:
  • “Text me every Monday at 8am with a summary of last week’s portfolio activity.”
  • “Send me a Friday recap of intro and other investor requests received this week.”
  • “Every weekday morning, give me an update on Acme AI.”
Relay confirms the cadence, schedules the routine, and delivers on time. You can list, pause, or cancel active routines by asking (“what routines do I have?”, “pause my Monday digest”).

Access and Privacy

Members Only: Only verified members of your workspace can chat with your Relay assistant. Phone numbers must be verified before messages are processed. One Workspace at a Time: A given phone number can be active in one workspace at a time. If you belong to multiple workspaces, you can move Relay between them from the Messaging settings page. Per-Member Opt-In: Each member chooses whether to enable Relay from SettingsMessaging. Members without a verified number cannot send or receive Relay messages. Workspace Scope: Relay responses are scoped to the data you already have access to inside Concrete. Permissions and visibility rules apply identically to Relay and the app.

Availability

Concrete Relay is available on both the Solo tier and on Firm plans. SMS delivery is currently US and Canada only.
